Hoverboard has been named the most coveted Christmas gift this year, consistently being on the Christmas wish lists of both children and adults. There is a wide variety of hoverboard with different designs and price ranges, but a company named ArcaSpace has taken the hoverboard game to a whole new level.
ArcaSpace is a private company that works on building aircrafts and basically anything related to space. In 2004, they joined the Ansari Prize, a competition wherein X Prize Foundation would offer $10,000,000 to launch the winning team's manned spacecraft into the space.
On Thursday, the company has announced through a video about their 'ArcaBoard,' which is basically a hoverboard that can fly by almost a foot. This is made possible through 36 electric fans which yield about 272 horsepower, according to The Verge.
According to the company, they used balancing technology for their ArcaBoard's flying stability. They gave users an option to use their body to control the vehicle, or use their mobile phones to navigate the it.
In their website, ArcaBoard promises revolution in Motion. Their promotion reads, "Now you can have wings. Now you can walk on air. Now you can overcome your limitations. Now you can become a superhero. ArcaBoard will make you get there. Your perception of who you are and who you can become will be forever changed. ArcaBoard it's an extension of your will and creativity by offering raw lifting power and total freedom of movement. There are no limits, no restrictions, no boundaries. There is only you and ArcaBoard."
The video released by the company gives so much promise to the product. CEO and founder Dumitru Popescu shares how much effort and ambition they have put into the project to come up with the flying hoverboard. It actually a little dramatic for a toy vehicle commercial, but it could easily market the product, which Arcaboard probably needs given its $19,900 price tag.
