"I'm afraid of guns," Melissa McCarthy revealed as she talked about her role as a CIA agent in the movie "Spy."
The 45-year-old said that she had to endure working with guns in both her movies "The Heat" and "Spy." She described that she wasn't "super-comfortable" shooting scenes carrying guns at all, a report from Mirror.co.uk stated.
She then commented on her role as a CIA agent in "Spy" saying, "I had trained with guns for 'The Heat' as well, but I'm afraid of guns, " she said. "I'm not super-comfortable with them but it's a part of law enforcement so I wanted to make sure I handled them right."
She explained that she doesn't want to look awkward in her scenes too, "I don't ever want to look like I don't know how to hold a gun because nobody gets to do that job if they don't know what they're doing."
The Identity Theft actress also admits that it was also hard to look "cool" while she did the scenes for the two movies because they are so taxing. She insists that shooting challenging scenes are all part of the fun.
She said, "The fighting, the running -- I was just constantly like, "Who am I chasing now and why am I in heels?"
"I've got a lot of dialogue and I'm running four blocks and there are stairs."
The actress/comedienne also narrated her experience in Budapest where the movie was also shot. "Budapest, where we shot the film, is so beautiful and Paul (Feig, director) kept finding these staircases. But the fifth take, you've done 20 flights."
"I think anyone, by their 20th flight, is a little out of breath. It's hard to look cool when you're gasping for air but that was the fun of it."
Other than being an actress, Melissa is also a fashion designer with her own line of clothes for plus size clothing called Seven7. The busy comedienne is also a writer and author.
