Fans of the hit crime drama series "Breaking Bad" would be delighted to know of the possibilities of seeing their favorite characters back on TV screens through its spin-off "Better Call Saul."
"Better Call Saul" Season 2 is coming on Feb. 15 and showrunner Peter Gould has dished some details on what avid followers can expect by then. The story and the filming for the sophomore season have been completed already.
"I have to say, at the risk of repeating myself, it surprised us in a good way. We're real excited about the season. We like it an awful lot," Gould shared in an interview with Yahoo! TV.
And while they decided not to bring a lot of "Breaking Bad" characters in the first season of "Better Call Saul," Gould said there are possibilities in actually doing so.
"One thing we've stuck to is only bringing in the Breaking Bad world when it makes sense, when the story that we're telling takes it there," he explained. "Plus, we have, of course, a whole catalog of wonderful characters who died on Breaking Bad but are alive in the Better Call Saul [timeline]. Sometimes that gives us a thrill."
Gould also revealed they have a list of all the characters (both from "Breaking Bad" and "Better Call Saul" Season 1) that they want to bring back, and there are a lot of them. So there's a big chance you could be seeing your "Breaking Bad" idols sometime in Season 2 then.
Created by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould, "Better Call Saul" follows the story of Jimmy McGill before he was Saul Goodman. It is a prequel to the "Breaking Bad," set six years before he became a chemist-turned-meth dealer Walter White, back when he was just a small-time attorney.
"Better Call Saul" premiers on Feb. 15 at 10 p.m. on AMC. Episodes will be released on Netflix right after the TV airing.
