Warner Bros. has released a promotional video for the second TV anime season of "Gate: Jieitai Kano Chi Nite, Kaku Tatakaeri" that will return on Jan. 8 for its "Dragon Flame" chapter.
The new promotional video features part of the opening song entitled "GATE II ~Sekai o Koete~" (GATE II ~Surpass the World~) by Kishida Kyōdan & The Akeboshi Rockets (Highschool of the Dead, Strike the Blood), who also performed the first season's opening theme.
According to the report from Crunchyroll, the ending song for the second season of the anime will once again be performed by the three lead voice actresses Hisako Kanemoto (Tuka Luna Marceau), Nao Touyama (Lelei La Rellena) and Risa Taneda (Rory Mercury). The three of them performed the ending song entitled "Prism Communicate" in the first season of "Gate."
The CD singles of both songs will be released on Jan. 27, 2016.
Anime News Network reported that the second half of the anime was revealed during the release of the twelth episode of the season one last September. The season two of "Gate" will cover the "Flame Dragon Arc" of the original light novel series written by Takumi Yanai.
The original Japanese cast and staff from the first season will be returning for the season two of "Gate."
