“Days of Our Lives” (DOOL) reveal that there will be plenty of deaths for 2016 which may involve a major character. Meanwhile, Belle already received divorce papers from Shawn.
“A major character is murdered in cold blood. This will be the biggest thing in Salem and the ripple effects will be felt for many, many months," Executive producer Ken Corday teased about a gruesome killing in the long running soap opera as revealed in the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest.
With that, fans are speculating that said death will involve Joseph Mascolo, who plays Stefano since he needs to retire.
To recall, Stefano has been killed off from the show many times but he would always rise from the dead. But this one could be his final goodbye and it is possible that he will still be seen from time to time as a ghost. Fans are wondering who would be responsible for the death of Stefano, Celeb Dirty Laundry reported.
Meanwhile, Belle (Martha Madison) will get a heartbreaking news as Shawn (Jason Cook) gives her the divorce papers since he isn’t willing to forgive her for cheating on him. Belle knows her mistake but is still willing to patch things up with Shawn.
While Belle is heartbroken, Philip (John-Paul Lavoiser) will reach out to her and takes advantage of the situation by asking her out on a date for the New Year’s Eve fashion show. But during the show, Chad (Billy Flynn) will convince her to go out with him. Abigail (Kate Mansi) will see Chad and Belle about to make love and stop them, Soap Shows reported.
As actor Brandon Beemer takes over the character of Shawn on January 19, it is possible that Shawn and Belle will reconcile but it appears that Philip could be a hindrance.
Elsewhere, Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and Stefano will have a confrontation and will find the possible link between the kidnapping of Bo (Peter Reckell) and the DiMeras.
Andre (Thaao Penghlis) will also try to get to Hope for revenge. It is speculated that Hope might be the reason for the death of Stefano. Aside from that, there are also speculations that the new character Deimos (Vincent Irizzary) will have ties with the Kiriakis clan as he arrives in town with vengeance.
