Willem Dafoe, the "John Carter" actor, has just sold his West Village, New York City, home for $2.87 million.
Dafoe and his wife Giada Colagrande purchased the home in 2005 for $1.6 million. They listed it for $3.1 million and though it sold under the asking price, they managed to make aprofit of almost $1.5 million on the sale.
Located at 67 Perry Street, the full-floor condo has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Floor plans show the entrance opening into a living area that has an open-plan kitchen and dining area. The bedrooms are located at two adjacent corners of the condo.
Interiors of the home feature hardwood flooring, drywall ceilings and large glass windows for ample ventilation and exposed brick walls. The kitchen is a modern space with custom cabinetry and granite counter-tops.

Dafoe and his wife have since moved on to another residence in the area. Earlier this year, several news outlets reported that Dafoe purchased a $3.9 million penthouse located atop the building at 68 Jane Street, also referred to as 812-814 Greenwich Street.
Dafoe began his career in the film industry in 1981 in "Heaven's Gate", but his part was later removed during editing.
Nevertheless, he hit it off big in several movies including "Platoon", "Affliction", "Off Limits," "Streets of Fire", "To Live and Die in L.A.", "The Last Temptation of Christ", "Mississippi Burning", "Spider-Man", and "The Aviator". He also lent his voice to several characters in a number of films.
Dafoe bagged Academy Award nominations for Best Supporting Actor twice - in 1986 for "Platoon" and in 2000 for "Shadow of the Vampire.
He reportedly has both American and Italian citizenship and divides his time between Rome, New York City and Los Angeles.
