"Persona 5," a role-playing video game, will soon be released but prior to its launching, a new story theme of the game is revealed.
The game, which is one of the most anticipated games for next year will be out in Summer 2016 in Japan and North America, exclusively for PS3 and PS4, Venture Capital Post reported.
Game director Katsura Hashino teased some details about the game saying that instead of solving mysteries, the protagonists will seek their own identities using a device wherein they will confront their dark side of psychology, N4BB reported. The main characters will be looking for "a sense of identity" at the beginning of the story.
"It's quite different from the previous games' protagonists who had no choice but to solve the mysteries they were confronted with. We think that sense of agency is one of the charms of this title, and as developers, it's one of the aspects we're most excited to bring to you," said Hashino in an interview with Game Informer.
The characters of the game will feel like they don't fit in the society after discovering their own identities. With that, they will stick together. They will also get hold of the Isekai-Navi which will allow them to go into a different world where they will find their "phantom thieves" version.
Morgana, an interesting character in the show is pursuing a particular objective. The cat (Morgana) regards the protagonist's awakened power of Persona and stays close with him for guidance. Hashino added that the two will be much closer in this game.
"Persona 5" will also feature three new options for gaming that includes "cooperation," "all out attack" and "stealth." While in the "Cooperation" mode, the players will be able to connect with other non-playable characters while getting useful information from them.
The feature "All out attack" was already used in Persona 3 and will make a comeback for the upcoming game. Meanwhile, the "Stealth" option will help the players in the dungeons since the new game will use both melees and ranged weapons.
