Mel Gibson, the "Braveheart" star, has reportedly put up his massive forest estate in Costa Rica for sale again for $29.75 million.
Gibson attempted to unload the property in 2013 for the same price. He also tried selling it in 2010 for $35 million and once in 2011 for $29.8 million but sitting unclaimed, the property was de-listed all times, according to the Costa Rica Star.
Gibson's property is a 500-acre forest estate located on the Nicoya Pennisula. Called "Playa Barrigona", the property is comprised of three villas, each of which is located on a hilltop.
The main house is called the "Casa Guanacaste" that has seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms. The smaller villas have two bedrooms each and include other living spaces like a poolside cottage at one and a loft at another.
Interiors of the homes include tiled flooring, high exposed beam and drywall ceilings and large glass doors and windows.
The estate also offers private beach access and can be reached via private plane or car. Two neighboring villages - Nosara and Samara - provide for restaurants and shops.
Christies's International Real Estate is marketing the property and describes the estate as:
"Supremely situated amid 500 acres of privately owned jungle in a remote area of Costa Rica's lush Nicoya Peninsula, the villas on Playa Barrigona are tropical retreats unlike any other. Owned by celebrated actor Mel Gibson, each of the three homes is nestled on a hilltop overlooking the Pacific Ocean. A secluded white-sand beach is just a short walk away, and the sights and sounds of the jungle envelop the grounds."

Gibson shot to fame with his stints in action movies like "Lethal Weapon" and the "mad max" series. Since the beginning, Gibson was admired and even compared to Hollywood greats like Humphrey Bogart and Clark Gable. His directorial hit "Braveheart" not only won the Oscar for the best picture, but also earned him the best director award and a Golden Globe in the category too.
However, things went downhill for the talented actor-filmmaker as he made some anti-Semitic remarks on Jews after he was arrested for DUI. Studios and production houses refused to work with him after the incident.
But earlier this month, Robert Downey Jr., (the Iron Man actor) said in an interview with Deadline that Gibson is now a different guy and the industry should forgive him.
"Nobody should make a case for somebody who just wants forgiveness but hasn't changed, but he's a fundamentally different guy I think it was just the very worst aspects of somebody's psyche being treated as though they were the blanket statement about a person," Downey said.
