'Mass Effect Andromeda' PS4, Xbox One, PC Game To Be Released In 2016; Senior Development Director Leaving

The "Mass Effect Andromeda" is already scheduled for release in 2016, however, before this year ended, in the middle of the development, the team's senior development director has resigned.

According to GameSpot, Chris Wynn, the senior development director, revealed that he has already left the BioWare and announced it on his personal Twitter account. He said, "It is with a heavy heart today to say that I am moving on from BioWare and Mass Effect: Andromeda, and returning to the USA."

He added, "The Andromeda team is the most talented team that I have ever worked with, truly inspiring to have worked with you each and every day. I will join the passionate N7 community and will eagerly await the release of Andromeda with equal enthusiasm. Thank you and Happy Holidays!"

In response to Wynn's leaving, BioWare, the game developing team that developed the whole "Mass Effect" gameplays, said "Chris was a great member of the team. We want to thank him for his contributions and we wish him the best in his new adventures. Development of Mass Effect Andromeda continues to move full speed ahead at BioWare Montreal, Edmonton and Austin."

Gamerant added that right now, BioWare Montreal didn't have any replacement for Wynn yet. So, they are still looking for one. They are not even sure when they could do so. The same source stated that until now, there is no definite reason why he suddenly decided to leave the team in the middle of development of "Mass Effect Andromeda."

Chris Wynn formerly worked in Electronic Arts as development director, Epic Games as senior producer, and Microsoft as lead producer. After he left EA, he joined BioWare in 2013 as a senior development director.

When he joined the team two years ago, he worked with other BioWare's RPG series like the "Gears of War" and "Madden." These are just some of the projects lined up since most of them were not revealed, the Game Informer reported.

Meanwhile, the diehard "Mass Effect" gamers will just have to wait until the "Andromea" will be finally launched in the next year. The gameplay is supported in different platforms including the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
