December 27, 2015 will forever be a special date for Zhang Ziyi. The award-winning actress gave birth to a healthy baby girl -- her first child with Chinese rocker Wang Feng. Zhang Ziyi announced the great news via the social media site Weibo. She shares on her post that "Everything went safely and smoothly. Infinite gratitude!"
Reports say that Zhang Ziyi gave birth in the United States, but the name of the newborn has yet to be revealed. Zhang Ziyi alongside her family and fiancé flew to the US just in time for Christmas festivities. Wang Feng already has two children before hooking up with the 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon' actress. The Chinese couple got engaged in February this year, when the 44-year-old musician delivered the engagement ring via drone during the 'Memoirs Of A Geisha' actress' 36th birthday.
The power couple hasn't married yet, but prior to their baby girl's birth, reports have emerged that they've actually been married back in May in Hong Kong. Several Chinese news outlets published Zhang Ziyi and Wang Feng's marriage certificate dated May 10. In previous interviews, Wang Feng mentioned that he wanted their wedding to take place in June, but since then, there has been no news whether or not they've already tied the knot.
Wang Feng, although an established musician and songwriter in China, rose to becoming a household name when he appeared on 'The Voice of China' as a judge back in 2013. Zhang Ziyi's other well-known roles were in the films 'House of the Flying Daggers' and 'Rush Hour 2.'
Zhang Ziyi is also noticeably absent in the trailer for 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny,' but fans of the award-winning movie shouldn't fret as other major stars like Michelle Yeoh and Harry Shum Jr. will be taking the spotlight this time around.
