"Doctor Strange" Updates: First Poster Released, Benedict Cumberbatch Shares a Sneak Peek of His Latest Movie

Benedict Cumberbatch is no longer Sherlock Holmes-he is now "Doctor Strange" and he certainly looks the part as shown on his first poster release.

Gracing the cover of the Entertainment Weekly Magazine, the same organization that released the posters exclusively, he shared bits and pieces about his latest film, "Doctor Strange."

He said, "I'm still in the infancy of learning all that. It was like, okay, I've got to keep throwing these poses, these spells, these rune-casting things, everything he does physically. I'm thinking, there's going to be a huge amount of speculation and intrigue over the positioning of that finger as opposed to it being there, or there. And I'm still working on that. We haven't played any of those scenes yet. I felt really self-conscious. But, then, by the end, it was great. It's like anything, you just have to experiment?"

The posters look promising and definitely interesting. Cumberbatch says that there are a lot of action going on, really rough and tumble.

Meanwhile, director Scott Derrickson tells EW that he is awestruck with the fact that he'd be making the movie. In fact, he is sort of waiting for a knock on the door for somebody to say that it cannot be done because it is just too weird.

Producer Kevin Feige revealed that they have always wanted Cumberbatch for the role but he has become busier and busier as he gets more popular. What they did was look at other actors to make the movie but eventually the team just decided to make it work with Cumberbatch's schedule and that's it.

Doctor (Stephen) Strange is set to be released on theaters Nov. 2016. However, for those who would want to read more about the movie ahead of everyone else, they can buy a copy of Entertainment Weekly Magazine that hit stands today, Dec. 29.
