In the sneak peek of the new "The Bachelor" season, Ben Higgins is seen having awkward moments with some of the girls.
Entertainment Weekly reports that the first night of the reality show is all about first impressions, and the girls are working hard to make their first meeting with Higgins memorable. In one scene of the sneak peek video, a lady named Lace reveals that she wants to make a good impression on the bachelor and she tries to kiss him. Lace, who is a real estate agent from Denver, asks Higgins, "Is it awkward if I ask you for a better first kiss?" In the video, Higgins doesn't appear to be interested with the lady at all and rejects her request in the nicest way possible.
In an earlier interview, Higgins talked about public displays of affection and said that in the beginning, it is what's inside that's more important. According to Inquisitr, he said that he wants to concentrate first in getting to know the ladies based on their personality more than their physical appearance.
He explained that he believes that what is important in a relationship is getting to know each other rather than kissing the whole time. Higgins also revealed that he would like to find a lady with a similar faith with him and also someone who offers grace. Higgins is known to have participated in missionary trips in the past as well as spiritual trails in Peru.
Higgins was part of "The Bachelorette" season with Kaitlyn Bristowe, and he revealed that although he enjoyed his time with her, he would want to look for someone who has their individual characteristics. It was also reported that fans would see some familiar faces in this season as Becca Tilley and Amber James are will join the reality show.
"The Bachelor" Season 20 will air on ABC on Jan. 4.
