Stephen Curry Distributes Food To The Needy; The NBA Superstar Leads Most Fascinating Sportsperson of 2016

NBA player superstar Stephen Curry and his family know how to spread some love and for the right reasons and definitely at the right season.

Curry, a Golden State Warriors guard and his family worked with the charity Feed The Children to distribute basic needs such as toiletries and food to 400 families in need in Oakland, California, People reports.

The superstar's team Twitter account posted on Sunday, "Yesterday @StephenCurry30 & family teamed up w/ @feedthechildren to provide for 400 local families #WarriorsGiveBack." It should a photo of his wife, his children Ayesha and Riley helping out in handing out the food to the needy.

Curry told ABC News, "Being able to impact the East Bay community and the Bay Area at large is definitely important with this being our home."

"It's nice that what we do on the court can continue to shed light on the initiatives that we have off the court that are, in the grand scheme of things, a lot more important."

It is the third time, the third year in a row that the Curry family helped give each family a 25-pound food box and 10-pound box of personal care items. This activity is actually part of the Warriors' Season of Giving community outreach program that is being funded by the Stephen Curry and Warriors Community Foundations, ABC adds.

Meanwhile, Curry leads the pick for the Most Fascinating Sportsperson in 2016, according to Sports Illustrated. He has already been compared to Magic/Bird, Michael, and LeBron, for growing the game like the legends. It seems like the panelists who have chosen him have nothing but good words for curry and the way he is changing the face of the game.

However, not everyone seems to be a fan as Mark Jackson, according to SB Nation, claimes that Curry is "hurting the game" because the kids emulate him (Curry) by doing Stephen bombs. It is just a matter of one's opinion, of course.
