NBA Rumors: Three Way Trade Deal Sends Houston Rockets' Dwight Howard to New York Knicks

The upcoming free agency period this summer has become more exciting with the inclusion of some NBA stars. This time around the speculations are centred in Houston Rockets' Dwight Howard and his possible inclusion in a three way trade deal involving the New York Knicks and the New Orleans Pelicans.

Dwight Howard has been involved in the rumor mill lately, primarily because of his reported unhappiness within the roster. According to some reports, Howard is not satisfied being a second man in the team, thus wanting to be traded from the Rockets. And perhaps such idea, gave life to this another rumor involving Rockets with the Knicks and Pelicans.

With the New York Knicks down in the 12th spot, things are not looking good for this said to be contender this season. Despite the addition of a well-productive rookie player in the line-up of Carmelo Anthony, it still seems like the team lack some support in the frontcourt. That is why, it somehow makes sense for them to look for a solid big man like Dwight Howard.

According to movienewsguide, the Knicks will receive Dwight Howard from the Rockets and Luke Babbitt of the Pelicans. While the Rockets will take with them Ryan Anderson and Omer Asik of the Pelicans together with Jose Calderon and Derrick William coming from the Knicks. The Pelicans on the other hand will have Robin Lopez and Kyle O'Quinn of the Knicks, also Terrence Jones and KJ McDaniels from the Rockets.

Now this trade deal is a bit confusing and a bit farfetched. But if one would focus on Howard transferring to the Knicks, it is somehow sensible. He can help solidify the frontline and in a way teach the young Latvian player, Kristaps Porzingis, of some tricks underneath the basket. If Carmelo Anthony will not transfer or be traded to other teams, then he and the Knicks might get a better shot of the championship with Howard playing with them.
