Elle Macpherson Sells New York City Pied-a-Terre for $2.4 Million

Elle Macpherson, the super hot super model, has reportedly sold off her pied-a-Terre in New York City for $2.4 million.

The Wall Street Journal broke news of the sale noting that the Upper East Side residence closed sale Thursday. The home went on and off the market for almost a year, last being offered for $2.49 million.

While the Journal reports that Macpherson has owned the unit since 1993, listing records at Streeteasy show that the home last sold in 2011. It sold for $2.45 million. Currently, the records show an "under contract" sign.

Does that mean Macpherson is done with the Big Apple? Apparently no!

"Elle isn't done with New York - she might buy something in the future - but she is spending most of her time in London these days," Lionel Piraino, Macpherson's broker, explained to The New York Post.

The Post also notes that Macpherson converted the 1,800-square-foot, two bedroom unit into a one bedroom residence.

The current floor plans show that the entrance of the home opens into a foyer, that leads to a combined dining, living and kitchen area.

To the right of the foyer lay the office and the humongous master suite - which Macpherson built combining the two bedrooms. The master suite has spacious walk-in closets and a luxury master bathroom.

Interiors of the home feature high drywall ceilings, large glass windows and dark hardwood flooring encompassed in a flowing layout that provides for ample ventilation.

The Co-op unit in Lenox Hill also offers great views of the city and is situated just half a block away from Central Park. According to Streeteasy, Lenox Hill is famous for its fabulous location:

"The sophisticated architecture of Lenox Hill surrounds the new developments and high-rises that are creeping in from the south, allowing Lenox Hill to keep up with the demand for real estate in the area," the website states.

On the work front, Macpherson just ended her contract with bendon, the lingerie company. Heidi Klum will now be stepping onto the shoes of the 50-year-old bombshell, who has been the face of the firm for 25 long years.

"I have many companies that come to me, but I wanted to be with someone who was as big as them, as established as them, as successful as them. You know, 25 years, that's quite an empire and that's quite an amazing business that Elle has created with Bendon," Klum told WWD.

"I feel like with all the social media that I have, with the campaigns that we do, I hope that people will hear that I took over and I hope that they're happy about it. It wasn't me knocking at the door saying I want to take over. It was offered to me," she added.
