If you are planning to get a tablet for 2016, here are the upcoming and rumored tablet models from your favorite brands:
"Sony Xperia Z6 Tablet"
The "Sony Xperia Z6 Tablet" is expected to be released Mid 2016. Just like most Sony's devices, the "Sony Xperia Z6 Tablet" is also expected to be waterproof, although no offical announcements back this up. However, Sony is known for making their gadgets resistant to water, so we can just keep our fingers crossed that this model gets that same feature. The "Sony Xperia Z6 Tablet" design is also expected to be more premium and the interface should also be improved.
"iPad Air 3"
The "iPad Air 3" was expected to launch before 2015 ends, however, this did not happen, which leads us to a new release date rumor that is March 2016. What do we expect from the "iPad Air 3 2016"? 4K resolution isn't out of the bets, alongside a possible 3D Touch feature. The popular tablet brand may also be thinner and faster but it should still sport the same body size of 9.7 inch.
"Samsung Galaxy Tab S3"
"Samsung Galaxy Tab S3" is expected to be a top dog when it comes to competing with the iPads. And in what way can the company do this? Probably an 'Edge' version with a similar curved screen that the Galaxy S6 Edge" phone features. But if this does not come to life, the only thing that is certain is that the device will be boosted in all important areas, may it be on the resolution department, battery, or processor. We can just cross our fingers that Samsung comes up with a great tablet that is both good looking and efficient. Hopefully the microSD slot does not get compensated for a premium design. If both can be achieved, we do hope Samsung goes for it.
"Microsoft Surface Pro 5"
The "Surface Pro 4" did very well in impressing the consumers. Its over the top specs set it apart from its rivals. It is basically a laptop replacement. With the "Microsoft Surface Pro 5", there really isn't a lot more to ask for. But if there's one thing to make things better it would be a bundled Type Cover. It's a big issue for buyers who wants the Type Cover but think twice in buying it separately because of the costs. If Microsoft can lower the price through a bundle, it would really be nice. Furthermore, battery improvements on the tablet part would also be appreciated.
"iPad Mini 5"
Apple's iPad Mini came back with a blast this year with its fourth gen release, although it's uncertain why the company mentioned the "iPad Mini 5" but failed to give full details on the device, which is why it's still not certain whether the device will show up next year or not. However if it does, Apple hopefully uses at least an A9X chip, instead of the A8 that was on the "iPad Mini 4".
