"Survivor" Season 32 hints that there will be a huge immunity idol shake-up wherein the castaways will have a tough time distinguishing which idol is real and fake. Meanwhile, the extremely hot weather of Cambodia will make it more challenging for the castaways.
The previous season which featured past contestants of the series concluded with Jeremy Collins as the winner and was said to be the best season of "Survivor" yet.
With that, expectations are high on Season 32 of the "Survivor" with the theme "Brawn vs. Brains vs. Beauty" and will also take place in Cambodia like the previous season. Reports reveal that filming of the upcoming season was done prior to that of Season 31.
Host Jeff Probst revealed that the immunity idol challenge will have a new twist allowing the castaways to connect two idols to give them a super power, according to Celeb Dirty Laundry.
"The super power idol will be similar to the diamond power of veto from 'Big Brother,'" said creator Mark Burnett.
The 18 castaways will be grouped in three for Totang, Chanloh, and Gondol. Each group will be separated based on brawns, brains, and beauty. The tribe members will be given clues about the location of the idols but they have to determine if the idol is real. Once it is real, it will easily fit to the connector of one idol.
The immunity idol resembles half of a Yin-Yang symbol with an animal carved on the front side and a connector. The animals are specific for every tribe, wherein Brains tribe idol features a crocodile, the Brawn tribe a tiger and the Beauty tribe a snake. By connecting two idols, it will create a super idol giving the player an additional advantage during the Tribal Council, Inside Survivor revealed.
Probst also added that what made the season even more challenging is the very hot weather in Cambodia that may have caused some medical emergencies.
"Knowing what I know about Cambodian weather, I am guessing even hotter but a lot less rainy. EXTREMELY HOT. No lie. Some of the hottest days of my 'Survivor' career. And you will see it play out during the season. Cambodia is no joke," Probst said according to Entertainment Weekly.
"Survivor Kaoh Rong: Brawn vs. Brains vs. Beauty" will premiere on Feb. 17, 2016 on CBS.
