'Daredevil' Season 2 Spoilers & Release Date: EP Teases Matt & Elektra's Relationship & Matt’s Connection With Frank

New teaser photos for "Daredevil" Season 2 have been released, and showrunners teased that the new season will start with a bang.

Coming Soon reports that showrunners Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez talked with Entertainment Weekly about what fans should look forward to in the new season of the Netflix show. Petrie said that the premiere episode will be action-packed. "We hit the ground running and then we ran as fast as we f-ing could," he said.

When asked about Jon Bernthal's role as The Punisher, also known as Frank Castle, he teased that they used the character's principles to confuse the audience on who they should be rooting for. Petrie explained that they want to force the audience to second guess themselves on the way they look at The Punisher, just like the way they forced Matt (Charlie Cox). Frank is known to take justice in his own hands, but it was earlier reported that Matt will not agree on how he gets things done.

Meanwhile, International Business Times reports that the showrunners also teased the kind of relationship Matt will have with Elektra (Elodie Yung). Petrie said that Elektra is unlike Matt's past girlfriends as she will be more of a "wild card." He explained that the assassin will appeal to Matt's repressed dark side as Matt has a complicated moral principle. He added that Elektra compliments Matt's wild side which he always tried to tame.

Elektra will be introduced as his old college girlfriend. In "Daredevil" Season 1, Foggy (Elden Henson) already mentioned that Matt took a class back in college just to get the attention of a girl. Later on, Matt revealed that things did not work out between them.

As of writing, there is still no official release date for "Daredevil" Season 2, but it is expected to be available sometime in 2016.
