Jamie Dornan, who is now famous for his role as Christian Grey from "Fifty Shades of Grey," recently revealed that his popular character is not the most challenging role he has ever done.
According to International Business Times, Dornan talked about his roles in an interview with Bafta Guru, and he said that his role as Paul Spector from "The Fall" is more challenging compared with his Christian Grey character. "The Fall" is a popular crime and thriller drama from BBC. Dornan added that when he plays Paul Spector, he completely ignores his BDSM-obsessed character from the blockbuster movie which was based on the 2011 erotic romance novel by E.L. James.
When he was asked why he considers Paul Spector more challenging, Dornan said, "Because he's [Grey] just so heinous and I don't have anything going on in my life that I can compare to what he does."
Movie News Guide reports that Dornan also talked about several things about himself that people don't know about. In the same interview, he expressed his regret about never getting the chance to play Christopher McCandless' role in "Into the Wild." He said, "I really wanted to play that part but I never had an absolute chance of getting it."
Playing one of the most iconic roles in the world of erotic love stories, Dornan showed a different side of him in the interview, even saying that he is a victim of asthma. He also believes that his fans know more about him than himself. He also revealed his secret on remembering lines for TV shows and his movies. The 33-year-old Irish actor said that he listens to his own recording via his iPhone.
Dornan is set to reprise his role as Christian Grey in the sequel "Fifty Shades Darker," which is scheduled for release in February 2017.
