Pro golfer Dustin "DJ" Johnson was so close to winning the 2015 U.S. Open, but despite narrowly missing the top spot, he is clinching victories in other aspects, like real estate. DJ is known for his prodigious driving ability, and he sure used it when he put his North Palm Beach, FL, home on the market and sold it for $3.83 million, Realtor reports.
It was last October when Johnson listed the luxurious 4,448-square-foot home for $4 million. And applying great golf techniques, the pro golfer bought a swanky new place a few months ago and it is just a short drive from the home he sold. No wonder, since the West Palm Beach in South Florida is known for its several golf courses, making the area a paradise for golfers.
The nine-time PGA Tour winner sealed the deal on a Palm Beach Gardens estate in September; it is a much larger mansion at 8,200 square foot and he bagged it for $4.95 million. It sits on nearly 2 acres of land on Intercoastal Waterway.
As for the house he recently sold, it is single-level with four bedrooms and was built in 2013. It boasts new hardwood floors after renovations, the master bathroom is everything marble, there is an outdoor kitchen perfect for entertaining fellow pro golfers for some outdoor hang out, and listening to music is a perfect experience with its "state of the art" integrated sound system. Did we mention that it also comes with a 1000-bottle wine room that can also be used as an office?
Johnson is married to Paulina Gretzky, a model and daughter of the legendary Wayne Gretzky. After three months of being on the market, the sale finally happened, although the deal was closed at $175,000 lower than the original asking price. Jeremy Browne was the listing agent and he has not given a comment regarding the matter.
