'Dance Moms' Maddie Ziegler Reveals She Does Own Make Up; Says Melissa Gisoni Is Horrible At It

Professional makeup artists are always present on sets, but "Dance Moms" fans will surely be surprised to know who does Maddie Ziegler's makeup. According to Design & Trend, Ziegler revealed that she is actually the one who does her own makeup.

"Dance Moms" is one of the most loved TV shows. However, one of the most interesting parts of the show is the "dramatic makeup" the girls wear on stage during competitions. According to Bustle, most of the fans assumed that the young dancers' mothers apply their makeups or they hire a professional artist to do it. There is a specific budget intended for it, so it is really possible that they hire one. But surprisingly, those young and talented dancers do their own makeups.

It has been reported that Maddie used to rely on her mom, Melissa Gisoni, when it comes to her make up on the show. But then, she came to realize that her mom always does it in the wrong way.

Maddie revealed that she doesn't like how her mom does her makeup. She even said that her mother "is not good at it! She's just not good!"

In Ziegler's interview with Fashionista earlier this year, she also revealed that she and her friends always jokes about how her mom does her makeup. Maddie shared that when her friends ask her who does her makeup and she will say "my mom" they will all laugh because they know that is not true at all. As she said, "My mom is horrible at it!"

Reportedly, at the age of 8, Maddie already stopped her mom from doing her makeup. Since then, she has been doing it on her own.

"I was just sick and tired of [my mom] doing it wrong. I learned how to put my own eyelashes on... and then my sister loved it, so I started doing her makeup, and then from there, now I do my friends' makeup for competition," says Maddie.

Maddie is pretty much involved in beauty as much as she loves dancing. When she was asked how into beauty she is, Maddie answered, "If I weren't dancing, I'd definitely be doing beauty. I do hair and makeup all the time for my competitions and stuff, and besides dancing, it's my favorite thing to do."

"Dance Moms" season 6 is set to premiere on Lifetime on Jan. 5, 2016 at 8 p.m.
