As the mad soccer genius David Villa is all set to play for the New York City FC next year, the Spanish striker checked out a few crash pads in the Big Apple to seek refuge in while in the city.
The New York Post reported that the suave player checked out several luxury rentals in the city. Below are a few places he checked out:
1. 502 Park Avenue - $125,000 a month
The penthouse residence atop the building at 502 Park Avenue is a 6,278-square-foot luxury spread comprised of four bedrooms and six bathrooms.
The double story penthouse offers various luxury features like a private elevator, a grand oak-staircase, a marvelous gallery and a chef's kitchen. A library, a den and a roof-top lounging deck are also a part of the property.
"Imagine the endless possibilities of your own custom-built penthouse with a private rooftop terrace overlooking NYC!" the broker's pitch reads.
2. 737 Park Avenue - $38,000 a month
The upper floor condo apartment in the Manhattan building is a 4,758-square-foot condo with five bedrooms and seven bathrooms.
Interiors of the apartment show hardwood flooring, high ceiling and French windows. The spacious floor plan of the home accommodates a modern kitchen with a center island, a laundry and separate pantry area. The master suite has two bathrooms and a dressing room as well.

3. 15 Central Park - $125,000 a month
Villa reportedly wanted to take up the condo, but agreed only for $90,000 a month. The rental was whisked away by Robert De Niro, the Post reports.
The home belongs to Steel mogul Leroy Schecter who combined two units to make this giant residence. The home has five bedrooms and six bathrooms together and was also up for sale last year for $85 million.
The home boasts of many luxury features that include "a large, closed kitchen, two laundry rooms, a gallery area and abundant closet space," according to the marketing description.
