Cousin Amy Duggar’s Father Files For Divorce, Cites Intolerable Treatment As Reason

Another scandal rocks the Duggar name and this time it is a divorce by cousin Amy Duggar's parents. This is the next shocking event just four months after Josh Duggar entered rehab for sexual addiction, a report from Radar Online said.

Terry Jordan, cousin Amy's father filed for a divorce against Deanna Duggar on December 21. The court documents cited that Terry wanted to divorce Deanna due to "intolerable" treatment.

Elizabeth Finocchi, Jordan's attorney told the Washington County Council Court that, "The Defendant has treated the Plaintiff with such indignities as to render his condition in life intoleratble."

Finocchi also mentioned the couple's previous separations saying that the two lived in an off-and-on life together throughout their nine-year marriage. It was also noted in the documents that the two had already divided their "marital property and debts" according to their "mutual satisfaction" before the papers were filed.

Deanna and Terry maintained a sweet demeanor in front of the camera. Deanna is the older sister of Jim Bob Duggar, patriarch of the Duggar clan of the former 19 Kids and Counting  show. Unknown to many, the two's marriage has been in trouble for years.

Radar also reported that cousin Amy's mother once filed a restraining order against Terry in 1992. She claimed that he once tried to kill her and "the baby" which is likely Amy who is now 29 years old. Furthermore, Amy has confirmed that she was born out of wedlock and has found sound proof that Terry is not her real father.  The two were in a relationship around the time of Amy's birth but was able to tie the knot in September 2006.

In the restraining order filed by Deanna, she expressed that Terry had no paternal claims to her daughter who was only 5 years old at the time of the filing.
