Jennifer Lawrence, the "Hunger Games" actress, has reportedly forked out $8.22 million on the plush Beverly Hills mansion that was once home to Jessica Simpson and Ellen DeGeneres at separate times.
E!Online broke news of the purchase. The home's celebrity history starts off with the 2014 Oscar Host. DeGeneres, a prolific real estate flipper, owned the house for quite some time before she sold it off to celebrity manager Rick Yorn in 2003. Simpson purchased the home in 2005 for $5.2 million.
The residence came up for sale last year for $8 million when the "irresistible" singer was all set to welcome her second baby. Just before putting the residence on market, she purchased a Hidden Hills home from Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne.
Simpson managed to unload the home for $6.4 million later that year. But whoever bought the house seems to be a flipper and sold it for a profit to the Oscar-winning actress.
The residence was built in 1991 and designed by Kerry Joyce. The home is a single family residence spanning an area of 5500 square feet and sits on a 0.37 acre lot. The place comprises of 5 bedrooms and five full and one half bathrooms.
Interior spaces of the two-storey home include a formal dining room, a drawing room, a breakfast room, a library, a family room, a den/study, a theatre, a dressing area, a music room, an office and guest/maid's quarters. Other amenities include a gym, a state-of-the-art kitchen and a laundry room.
Outside, the home has a heated spa, a lap pool with a pool cover, open patios both in the front and the rear, a large lawn with sprinklers and ample parking space with carports.

News of the purchase comes just after the massive online nude-photo leaks of Lawrence and several other celebrities set international news headlines on fire. Lawrence hit back at the hackers calling the whole massacre a "sex scandal" and "illegal".
"Just because I'm a public figure, just because I'm an actress, does not mean that I asked for this. It does not mean that it comes with the territory. It's my body, and it should be my choice, and the fact that it is not my choice is absolutely disgusting. I can't believe that we even live in that kind of world," she told Vanity Fair.
Don't worry Jen! A little real estate therapy is all you need!
