Avid users of ASUS have something to cheer about. This is after the company announced that it is gearing up to release a new smartphone which can be considered as the "cheapest" among its product lines. Called the ZenFone Go, the new phone is expected to be marketed in India and will be sold for INR 5,299 or roughly $80. It will be available online via Flipkart, a report from Vinereport said on Wednesday.
According to the report, the ZenFone GO with model ZC500TG-1C043WW was officially announced back in August. However, it was stressed that the device will only be available by the second week of January.
"The ZenFone GO sports an IPS LCD display of 5 inches with 720p HD resolution and 294 ppi pixel density rate. Moreover, it has viewing angle of 178 degrees. The device measures 144.5 mm tall, 71 mm wide, and 10 mm thick. It weighs 135 grams. As for the camera, the ZenFone GO smartphone features an 8-megapixel main rear camera. This is coupled with a 2-megapixel front facing snapper for selfies, video calling, and other similar functions. The device is powered by a removable Li-Polymer battery with capacity of 2,070 mAh. It boots on Android Lollipop 5.1 out of the box with ASUS Zen UI on top of it. The ASUS ZenFone GO smartphone is available for purchase in black, white, and red," the report said.
Softpedia reports that the phone comes with a 3G and dual-SIM support, as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS with AGPS support.
