Mobile manufacturing company Samsung is planning to release a new device which mobile experts believe is a mini version of Samsung Galaxy S6. Although it is not yet official, recent rumors suggest that the device will be known as the Samsung Galaxy S6 Mini. This developed after an actual model of the rumored smartphone has been spotted via a listing from an online retailer based in UAE, a report from Vinereport said on Wednesday.
"As per the listing, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Mini sports a 4.6-inch Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It runs under a hexa-core processor of yet unspecified brand, with a CPU clocking in at 1.8 GHz speed. For graphics, it comes with an Adreno 418 GPU. Seeing that it has Adreno 418 GPU, it could mean that the processor is a Snapdragon 808 one. It packs 2GB RAM along with 16GB worth of built-in internal storage capacity. Just like its bigger sibling, the alleged Galaxy S6 Mini does not support external microSD expansion," the report said.
In terms of camera, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Mini is expected to sport a 15-megapixel main rear camera and 5-megapixel front snapper. The phone's battery will be the usual Li-Ion battery that is capable of wireless charging, and the device will be powered with Android Lollipop 5.1.
According to Techtimes, LetsTango actually posted a listing of the company's new smartphone. However, it was noted that the listing did not indicate the price of the Samsung Galaxy S6 mini except from the full specs which can be accessed on the website.
"The smartphone listing also indicates the Galaxy S6 Mini to feature a PayPal certified fingerprint sensor alongside Samsung Pay support, Qi wireless charging, S Voice natural language commands and dictation, ANT+ support, air gestures, and other document editing apps. It is seen in a Dark Blue colour variant. Samsung has still not yet announced when it will launch the mini variant of the Galaxy S6. The company also seems to be gearing up for the Galaxy S7 launch, based on the increasing number of leaks and rumors," Gadgets NDTV said.
