CES may be coming next week but details regarding Samsung's upcoming computing devices have been spilled ahead of time. And according to TechRadar's news, these upcoming notebooks will be very thin and light. According to the report, we should be expecting a 13.3 inch Samsung 900X3L which will weigh 1.9 pounds. This is so light and thin that it goes beyond the lightness and thinness of the 11 inch MacBook Air. Now that makes it seriously portable.
Furthermore, there may also be a 15 inch model that would weigh 2.9 pounds with 15mm thickness. Actually, the reported number of laptop models to be released by Samsung is six, and all of which will use Skylake processors and will run the Windows 10 OS. As for the specs, the standard models will begin with 4 GM RAM and the maximum capacity is 8 GB RAM. There will be 128 GB SSDs and 256 GB SSD as well.
As for the resolution display, it is expected that the standard spec would be 1920 x 1080 full HD, although there will be one model that would have a higher resolution of 3200 x 1800 pixels. This would probably be the 13.3 inch NT900X3K-K36 and it would also probably carry a higher price compared to its standard spec'd siblings. Apart from the better display, this model should also carry a chunkier battery, metal body, and a screen that can fold back to up to 180 degrees.
Still, we should wait for the CES next week to get more details as to what Samsung has in store for us. As what was reported earlier, an 8 inch tablet may also be coming from Samsung sometime within the early next year. So the best thing to do now is simply to wait for official announcements from the company and celebrate once the models have been unveiled. A stunning, lighter and thinner laptop may be all that you need to replace your old heavy one!
