'Agent Carter' Season 2 Cast News & Premiere Date: Old Foe Set To Return; Fan-Favorite Character Appears With A Twist

More familiar faces will return, and Peggy's old foe will appear when "Agent Carter" Season 2 premieres this year.

Blastr reported that since Peggy (Hayley Atwell) moved to a new location, she will leave her best friend Angie Martinelli (Lyndsy Fonseca) behind. It was earlier reported that Peggy will be moving from New York to Los Angeles to fight the bad guys threatening to end the world.

However, fans of Angie should not fret because it was confirmed that the character will be making an appearance in Season 2. It was reported that although she will not be physically with Peggy in Los Angeles, Angie will be appearing in a dream sequence of Peggy in episode 9, where Peggy will be knocked out.

Spoilers reveal that the episode will start with a dance number which features Angie, who forces Peggy to face some things that she does not want to address. Executive producer Michele Fazeka teased that Angie will even look like Rita Hayworth in the segment. The scene will start in black and white and will evolve into bright colors.

Meanwhile, Screen Rush reports that new characters and old enemies will also be appearing in Season 2. It was earlier confirmed that Chad Michael Murray will return to reprise his role as Director Thompson, and Dominic Cooper and Bridget Regan will reprise their roles as Howard Stark and Dottie Underwood respectively. A new character will also be added in the show, as "Devious Maids" star Reggie Austin will play Jason Wilkes, who is the charismatic scientist and possibly Peggy's new love interest.

In other news, "The Newsroom" alum, Wynn Everett, will reportedly play the new villain in Season 2. He will play the character of Madame Masque, while Currie Graham will play her notable mobster husband, Ken Marino.

"Agent Carter" Season 2 will premiere on Jan. 19 on ABC.
