Mark Salling was arrested on Tuesday morning for possession of child pornography. The former "Glee" star, who portrayed Noah Puckerman, will be facing a huge amount of evidence that doesn't exactly work in his favor.
According to the Los Angeles Times, detectives did a search on Salling's San Fernando Valley home and were able to seize "hundreds of images," which police will be using as evidence.
It was on Tuesday morning when LAPD's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force found the images in Salling's home, found in the 9900 block of Helen Avenue in Shadow Hills, as said by task force Lt. Andrea Grossman.
Apparently, Salling lives alone in the said residence, which will make it all the more difficult to argue that someone else is responsible for the photos found on Salling's desktop computer.
Sources say that the actor was "shocked" upon the cops' arrival to search his home. Mark Salling was arrested for possession of child porn the same day, including pornography that involved minors "engaging in or simulating sexual conduct."
On the other hand, TMZ reports that there were more than 1,000 images obtained from Salling's own computer, which includes children under the age of 10.
The police will still have to look through Salling's cellphone, laptop, and tablet for more evidence of child pornography. The publication further reports that the police were "tipped off" by Salling's ex-girlfriend.
Salling's family bailed him out hours after his arrest, by putting a ten percent down payment on the $20,000 bail, as reported by Global News. Based on California law, the 33-year-old actor might face a maximum sentence of five years in prison, if over 600 images are found.
Salling is scheduled to appear in court on January 22. However, the court appearance could still change, "depending on whether or when county prosecutors file charges against the actor."
Mark Salling net worth is $500,000.
