'19 Kids And Counting' Alum Amy Duggar King Weighs In On Her Parents' Divorce

"19 Kids and Counting" alum Amy Duggar King's parents Terry Jordan and Deanna Duggar are getting a divorce.

Jordan and Deanna were only married for nine years, but they were blessed with King 27 years earlier.

According to People, Jordan and Deanna are citing irreconcilable differences as the main reason for their decision to separate.

While speaking with the publication, King confirmed that she's always acted as her the mediator between her family.

However, she also understands that her parents' issues are to be solved only among the two of them.

"They've had a roller-coaster relationship for as long as I can remember. I've always been the mediator between them, instead of just being their daughter I was also the counselor," she said.

King added, "I've learned that it's not my place to try and fix their relationship anymore. They are grown adults and I am, too. My main focus is to be a good wife, a help-mate, and Dillon and I work every day to keep our marriage strong and healthy. Love isn't a feeling, it's a choice."

In other news, King previously responded to reports that her parents had her out of the wedlock.

Since the former reality TV star belongs to a Christian family, having sex before marriage is a big no-no.

On her Instagram post, King shared a lengthy message to her followers saying that she was indeed born out of wedlock.

However, King clarified that it's something that her family never kept a secret from anyone. She also added that not because they are Christians doesn't mean that they do not commit mistakes; it simply means that they are forgiven for their errors.

King was dubbed as the famous cousin of Josh Duggar, but she's become closer to Josh's wife Anna.
