Renee Zellweger lists Hamptons Home for $4.45 million

After taking on flak for her "new" appearance, Hollywood actress Renee Zellweger recently had her historic East Hamptons home listed for over $4 million.

According to UPI.com, the actress' newly-renovated 2,000-square foot farmhouse was built in the 1900s and sits on a .91-acre gated lot. The beautiful home has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and has maintained its original details such as the wide plank floors as well as the brick fireplace which is in the living room. Meanwhile, the kitchen, with its commercial-grade stainless steel sink fixture and other high-grade stainless steel appliances boasts of an industrial edge.

Other interesting features of the home include the detached two-car garage with a loft area, flagstone-style slate walkways, broad and flat lawns, trellis-shaded terraces, and a heated and newly-installed in-ground swimming pool that is set against a tall wall of trees and shrubs.

All these make for an interesting home, especially if you are rich enough. The luxe farmhouse was a place that Zellweger holds a lot of fond memories to, having enjoyed living there for quite some time. The stunning farmhouse is greatly admired by many, however, this is not the first time that Zellweger had the property listed for sale.

In fact, this is the second time in three years that Zellweger had her beautiful property listed. It was originally being sold for less than her current asking price, which is actually deemed as "reasonable" if you happen to be a multi-millionaire in search of a East Hamptons hideaway.

The Jerry Maguire actress purchased the home back in April 2003 for just $2.15 million.

Other homes that Zellweger lived in - and sold over the years - according to Variety, include a townhouse building in the Upper East Side, which was sold to actress Leelee Sobieski and her husband, and a Bel-Air estate, which was sold to actress Debra Messing.

While the 45-year-old actress' recent appearance at Elle's "Women in Hollywood" event left tongues wagging for the dramatic change, Zellweger shrugged off the criticism, saying that what happened was she simply aged. The actress was last seen on film in 2010 when she played Jane Wyatt in the movie, My Own Love Song. She will next star alongside Keanu Reeves in The Whole Truth, which will be released in 2015.

Should you want to enjoy living in a luxurious, colonial farmhouse, you now know which listing to look up.
