Kanye West's new song entitled "Facts" created fuzz especially after he mentioned about the $10,000-worth of fur coat he gave her daughter, North West. According to ET Online, in the song Kanye mentioned about Nori's fur coat as he said, "10 thousand dollar fur for Nori, I just copped it/Your baby daddy won't even take your daughter shoppin.'"
And last Wednesday, Dec. 29, Kim Kardashian posted a photo of North wearing the $3,500 fur coat on her Instagram page. In the photo, Nori sported a pink sweatshirt with a matching pink baseball cap, jeans, Chuck Taylor sneakers and her fur coat while eating a lollipop. Kim then captioned the photo with "swag."
According to US Weekly, Nori looked "fierce and fabulous" on her outfit. As such a young age she was already able to step up her style game. However, the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star's post earned a lot of negative comments from her Instagram and Twitter fans.
"You are encouraging your child to wear fur that is ripped off of animals skin. You are disgusting," says one comment as reported by the Inquisitr. The fans who gave negative comments with Nori's photo did not blame the toddler for it. But instead, they slammed her famous parents.
It has been reported that some of the fans even said that the way North's parents style her is definitely beyond her age. A lot of the critics said that at her tender age, Nori does not need such expensive fur coat.
The harsh comments on Twitter continued such as, "Stupidity. What two-year-old needs a fur coat?"
Another comment says, "Teaching your child that the torture and murder of animals is ok for fashion?? Great mothering."
One fan even wrote, "Um, a child wearing fur!!?? What is wrong with you people! Disgusting."
PETA's senior vice president, Lisa Lange issued a statement and said, "Kids are naturally drawn to animals and sympathetic to their plight, and there's no reason to think that North is any different. If the fur coat that she's been dressed in is real, animals have suffered for vanity, something that we're sure neither North nor any little girl her age would support."
To add more to this fashion issue, it has been reported that Nori's extravagant jacket that is worth $3,500 is already enough to feed a family of four for 17 weeks. That is definitely a lot of big deal!
