Courtney Cox, the "Cougar Town" and "Friends" star, has reportedly snapped up a second condo at the prestigious Sierra Towers building located on the Sunset Strip area of Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.
The Real Estalker (via Variety) broke news of the sale noting that the condo that Cox picked up was off market. She reportedly forked out $2.5 million for the one-bedroom, one and a half bathroom place.
The condo apparently sits right next to the apartment Cox already owns. She bought it for $2.05 million in 2011, right after she announced her split with husband David Arquette. The old place spans an area of 1,700 square feet and both apartments feature panoramic views of the mountains nearby.
Sierra Towers is a high rise residential tower, which was built in 1965 and was originally called the "Spoon Apartment". It has 31 floors and two elevators. It offers luxury services like 24/7 concierge facilities, a pool area with a sundeck, a modern fitness center and fantastic city views.
Sierra Towers is a celebrity hub and its high-profile residents include Judith Regan, Bruce Makowsky and Matthew Rolston among others. Cher - the singer - once owned the only duplex condo of the building.
There is no news about how real estate was divided between Cox and Arquette. Apparently, while the two were together, they owned a private estate in Malibu. Arquette and Cox also owned a plush A. Quincy Jones-designed pad in the Trousdale Estates area of Beverly Hills, which recently went under escrow for $18 million.
They bought the Trousdale Estates home for about $5.4 million. The couple renovated the place in 2006. The residence is a 5,500-square-feet single-family home, comprising of four bedrooms and five full and one half bathrooms.
While Cox just purchased herself another condo, just a few weeks back, Arquette dropped $7.15 million on a luxury Los Angeles pad.
Spanning an area of 9,708 square feet, the single-family Tudor-style residence has seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms. The architecture of the house has been "meticulously preserved" and restored throughout the years.
Arquette also caught headlines for buying the legendary Crazy Girls Strip Club in Los Angeles. He had been negotiating a deal with the owners for about three weeks now and finally managed to strike one. The owners were asking $1.7 million, but "The Tripper" star managed to snag it for a discount at $1.5 million.
