"NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 7 spoilers are in and they tease that everyone will finally get to know more about the fan favorite, Special Agent G. Callen who is played by Chris O'Donnell.
Entertainment Weekly exclusively learned that after seven long years, Agent Callen will finally know what the letter "G" in his name stands for.
The show's executive producer, Shane Brennan, said that it was always his "intention to reveal Callen's identity before the series ended."
Brennan added that "We've had a lot of fun finding out who Callen is, and from where he came. I wanted the audience to have the opportunity to enjoy that moment. And while he's now discovered his identity, Callen's odyssey isn't over. In many ways, it's just beginning."
According to CarterMatt, the show has been quite limited about Agent Callen's information. It has been reported that Agent Callen was not able to find out what the letter stands for. He has been living his life asking about his name. But gladly, the show and its production will answer such big question before the season's finale.
Reportedly it is a good move for the show to make such big revelation. It is even a smart thing to do since it is not yet certain if the show will still return for another season. It matters a lot that the show will put an end to Callen's mystery before CBS will decide on whether or not the show will come back for another season.
Last month, TV Insider reported that it is about time that Agent Callen will find out his first name. Executive producer, R. Scott Gemmell shared at that time that they have "just shot an episode where he learns what his name is."
Gemmell also said that "A big part of the remainder of the season is going to focus on Callen's story. We felt like it was about time to take that to the next level."
It is yet to be known when the big reveal will happen. But surely Agent Callen's fans will get to know more about him as the season is almost coming to an end.
"NCIS: Los Angeles" is set to return on Monday, Jan. 4 at 10 p.m. on CBS.
