The upcoming "XXX" installment adds new cast members including two Martial Arts actors and an Indian female actress.
Twitch Film exclusively reported via CinemaBlend that the famed action star Vin Diesel will have an ally or rival among the brand new additions to the "XXX 3." Meanwhile, Comicbook added the additional film credits fo each actor.
According to Cinema Blend, the most notable cast member is the Chinese action star Jet Li. It was noted that his athletic skills will be perfect for the extreme theme of the past "XXX" films. The 52-year-old Li, who was part of "The Expendables" franchise, appeared in "Romeo Must Die" and "The One."
Meanwhile, the 29-year-old Deepika Padukone will showcase her acting skill as she tries her luck in a big project in the U.S. She is known for being one of the most-sought actors in India. Padukone recently starred in the 2015 film "Bajirao Mastani."
The last announced cast member is Tony Jaa who is similar to Li in terms of having proficiency in Martial Arts. "XXX: The Return of Xander Cage" will mark as the reunion project for Jaa and Diesel. They both appeared in "Furious 7."
This jampacked "XXX" trio is the latest update after well-known thespian Samuel L. Jackson and UFC fighter Conor McGregor were added to the mix.
Jackson will return for another time. He took on the role of Agent Augustus Eugene Gibbons in the past films and was responsible behind the Xander Cage's (Vin Diesel) transition.
"XXX" follows a stubborn extreme stuntman named Xander who transformed into an undercover super spy by Jackson's character. The film premiered in 2002.
Diesel, on the other hand, continues to expand beyond his career as a Hollywood actor. We previously reported that the 48-year-old action star will work on another installment from the "Chronicles of Riddick" film franchise, however this time, he will work on a television series.
