'Fifty Shades Darker' Stars Dakota Johnson And Jamie Dornan Not Getting Any TF Raise, Says Producers

Stars of the famous erotic romance novel-turned film "Fifty Shades Darker" Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan are not getting any raise in their talent fees according to producers.

In the first movie "Fifty Shades of Grey," both main stars Johnson and Dornan received a paycheck worth $ 250,000 with succeeding bonuses. The movie was a blockbuster hit covering $558 million in sales.

As both Johnson and Dornan have confirmed their comeback to the sequel, International Business Times have said, there are reports that their comeback to the movie will not be cheap this time. Latest rumors suggest that both actors are negotiating a payout in seven figures beginning from $20 million. However, according to Cinema Blend, a larger payout could be demanded amounting to $40 million.

Reports also said that both actors are not compensated well from the backend although they received their bonuses. It is very common for actors to ask for their talent fees in any movie sequel most especially in a high-grossing film like "Fifty Shades of Grey."

Yet, despite all the success, huge sales and controversies, Dana Brunetti, one of the film's franchise producers did not confer to the star's ideology and she reacted practically on these rumors. Brunetti expressed his opinions clearly without dragging out any punches. During an interview she had with Hollywood Reporter, Dana revealed he did not increase the payout of the two main stars despite the phenomenal success of the movie. In the interview Dana said, "Look, when I was starting out and had to cut my teeth and build my resume to get in, I had to basically work for free on a lot of things."

Despite the confirmation that the two will not be getting any raise for their talent fees, this does not make them underrated superstars in the Hollywood anyway.
