Fast and Furious 8 Update: No More Paul Walker

NBC Universal Exec has already confirmed that they won't feature late actor Paul Walker who played a major role in the movie in its latest installment of the action film "Fast and Furious 8," according to Vine Report.

The saga continues on its eighth installment but has confirmed that the seventh had its real closure after the death of Walker since they won't feature him anymore in the next movie. Walker played as one of the main characters, Bryan O' Cannor. He was the trusted partner of Dominic Torreto played by Vin Diesel.

A few weeks after the "Fast and Furious" dominated the theaters, there were already reports about the film's sequel. It's been a tricky topic to discuss given the untimely death of Walker. For a moment, "Fast and Furious" fans were unsure whether the movie would push through as Paul's death happened leaving only a few more scenes to make the film complete.

Thankfully, it was finished successfully with the help, support and blessing from Walker's family. Moreover, not only the film's director Justin Lin was able to finish shooting the movie, but he was also able to provide a suitable send off to Walker as well as his character.

Now that the production team is back on the road, fans and followers are curious on how the team would come up a sequel without its lead star.

"I can't tell you yet, but he won't be in the film as a performer, as an actor, the way we did it last time. It will still be 'Fast and Furious,' it will just be without Paul." said Ron Meyer, NBC Universal Vice Chairman during an interview with Variety.

Furious 8 features a comeback from Jason Statham who plays Ian Shaw, the main villain in Furious 7 and while it is yet to be confirmed if he will play the same role in the movie.

"Fast and Furious 8" is set to be released in theaters in April 2017.
