'Grey's Anatomy' Season 12 Cast News & Spoilers: Kate Walsh To Reprise Her Role As Dr. Addison Montgomery?

Kate Walsh is the new actress that is speculated to make an appearance in the second part of "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12.

There were earlier rumors which say that show creator Shonda Rhimes asked Walsh to reprise her role as Dr. Addison Montgomery in the show. However, Inquisitr reported that Walsh officially dispelled the rumors in her social media account. Replying to a fan, she said that the rumors weren't true and the news which reveals that she will be returning to the medical drama is a hoax. She added that the main reason why she will not come back to the show is because she is now busy doing other projects.

Talking with the Hollywood Life, Walsh said that playing the role was something great and she was happy that she was able to do it. She also talked about what she loved about her character saying that Addison was intelligent and that her imperfections made her someone interesting to play. She explained that doing to the role for 9 years made her realize that it is now time to move forward to her life and look into other avenues for her career. Despite confirming that she won't be appearing in the season of "Grey's Anatomy" she revealed that she is still very willing to work with Rhimes in the future.

Meanwhile, Christian Today reported that the new episode will explore on Owen's (Kevin McKidd) sister. In the mid-season finale it was revealed that Owen had a sister who seems to have died in the past and there is a huge possibility that Nathan (Martin Henderson) is responsible for her death which is why Owen is angry with him. Although there are also speculations which say that Owen's sister might be still alive and Nathan could be involved with her somehow.  

A new episode of "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 will air on ABC on Feb. 11.
