‘Final Fantasy 15’ Release Date: Game Director Confirms 2016 Launch

Game developer Square Enix has announced that its popular video game "Final Fantasy 15" is slated to be launched this 2016. The news comes after game director Hajime Tabata has confirmed the game's official target release date via a blog post, a report from Gamespot said.

In a statement, Tabata shares that the game was developed through a rigorous process. He hopes that the game will give avid fans and die-hard gamers a unique gaming experience.

"We will finally release FFXV this year, in 2016!. In development, previous phases required wisdom and strength. However, moving forward the final phase will focus on effort and willpower. I vow to you all that every member in the team will do their best to the very last possible moment taking responsibility and pride in their craft. We will do everything we can do to finish FFXV to create an experience we are incredibly proud of and one that you will enjoy and treasure. The whole FFXV team appreciates all of the support from each and everyone one of you this past year. I cannot tell you how much it means to all of us," Tabata said as quoted in the report.

Christian Today reports that Square Enix has scheduled a broadcast set this month. It was noted, however, that the developer has yet to announce the specific date. It was said that during the broadcast event, the company will showcase a new trailer and gameplay. Fans will also have an exclusive look about the games "Niflheim Empire" among others.

"The game was first announced back in 2006. Back then, it was being made for the Xbox 360 and the PS3. By 2013, after a lack of news surrounding the game, it was confirmed that it was being developed for the new-gen consoles Xbox One and PS4," the report said.
