Game developer Koei Tecmo has shared fresh details about its upcoming popular video game "Attack On Titan." The developer said there will be 10 playable characters that will be included in the game, according to a report from Vinereport.
According to the report, both game producer Hisashi Koinuma and game director Tomoyuki Kitamuta have discussed new details about the game's mechanics, gameplay and upcoming characters via an interview with Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu.
"First off, the game will have a total of 10 playable characters. These are: Eren Yeager, Mikasa Ackerman, Armin Arlert, Krista Lenz, Sasha Blous, Connie Springer, Jean Kirstein, Captain Levi Ackerman, Hange Zoë, and Erwin Smith. The game's storyline will let the players experience the entire first season of the anime, from the beginning and up to the final episode of the season. As the story progresses, the player will get to control different characters as everyone will have a perspective of the story," the report said.
Meanwhile, Forbes reports that the company is gearing up to release the "Attack On Titan" for several consoles namely: PS4, PS3, and PS Vita. It was said that the game features a "3D Maneuvering Gear" mechanics.
"The 3D Maneuvering Gear turns its wearer into a type of steampunk powered Spiderman. The reason for this is that you need to get up high to tackle the giants, specifically high enough to slash the back of their neck. In the manga and the anime, the back of a giant's neck is its only real weak point. Slashing that will take down the giant but Koei Tecmo hasn't just stopped there. To make matters more tactical, you can attack a giant's limbs as well. This is key because giants can grab and eat you; so neutralizing that threat seems like a good idea," the report said.
