Kendrick Lamar has already had an outstanding 2015, even capping it off with the most Grammy nominations for 2016. But it seems as though there's no stopping the "King Kunta" rapper, who just released a new video called "God is Gangsta."
The seven-minute short film, directed by Jack Begert and PANAMÆRA, shows off a crazier side to Lamar, before boasting of his well-known chill and relaxed attitude. The video was posted on Vimeo just before the new year arrived. Mashable reports:
"The clip features 'To Pump a Butterfly' tracks 'u' and 'For Sale? (Interlude),' as well as Lamar screaming alone with whiskey, in case you still need a little New Year's Eve inspiration. Lamar switches gears and is eerily tranquil in the second half in the clip, which makes sense considering it was filmed at Le Silencio, David Lynch's Parisian nightclub."

On the other hand, Hot New Hip Hop was able to unearth an old video of a then 22-year-old Kendrick Lamar rapping over Kanye West's "So Appalled," off of his 2010 album, "My Dark Twisted Fantasy."
The video dates as far back as 2009, and features an interview with the rapper before he was famous and prior to the release of his first mixtape, "Overly Dedicated."
According to the publication, "So Appalled" was released on September 2010. So how was Kendrick Lamar able to freestyle over the song in 2009? Well, "a version of the track had leaked shortly before Kendrick's December 2009 interview."
Lamar totally kills it in his own version, called "A Little Appalled," showing off his remarkable talent at such a young age.
Not only that, but watching the interview actually gives viewers a glimpse of Lamar's prophetic views of wanting to bring his story of a "good kid in a mad city" to the rest of the world. Watch it here (the freestyle starts at the 3:00 mark).
Kendrick Lamar net worth is $18 million.
