Harry Styles Going Solo During One Direction’s Hiatus?

Is Harry Styles preparing for his solo career while his band is currently on hiatus? According to the latest news, Styles has written four songs while their group is on an 18-month break.

As Hollywood Life reported, the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) claimed that Styles has already written four songs on his own. ASCAP documents revealed that he has collaborated with songwriter/producer Gary Go and Snow Patrol's Johnny McDaid to write four songs including, "Already Home," "Coco," "5378 Miles," and "Endlessly." It was also mentioned that the One Direction singer is also the one listed as the performer.

"We all write kind of separately and for other people and do stuff and bring it back, and that is it really," Styles told Alan Carr in an interview to shut down the rumors that he's going solo during 1D's hiatus.

Speculations that Styles is drifting apart from the British band started after 1D broke the news of their hiatus in August. There were rumors that he was reportedly the driving force behind the group's hiatus.  Meanwhile, as the rumors that Styles is embarking on a solo career is making headlines, Hip hop mogul Jay Z reportedly claimed that he can make Styles as the biggest artist in the world within a year under his label Roc Nation.

"Harry doesn't need any help with exposure, everybody in the world knows who he is. But he does need to make the transition from being part of a group to becoming an individual artist. "I can get him working with the bigger artists, the biggest producers - and have him as the biggest artist in the world within a year," Jay Z, who mentored the likes of Shakira, Rihanna and Kanye West told Daily Star via Stuff.Co.Nz.
