"The Witcher 3" expansion "Blood and Wine" may not be happening sooner that fans would have expected.
In a previous report, "The Witcher 3" developer CD Projekt RED has already teased fans with screen shots from the upcoming expansion "Blood and Wine." CD Projekt Red's Community Lead & Website Coordinator Marcin Momot even described the upcoming expansion as "awesome!" in a Twitter post. Thus, many fans were kind of led to believe the much awaited "Blood and Wine" is coming out early in 2016.
In a new report, it was said that fans may have to wait a little longer for "Blood and Wine." According to MNR Daily, the expansion is now expected to be released in the first half of 2016, which is actually a much longer window than the previously announced Q1 of 2016. The publication reports that CD Projekt RED has not yet decided on a fixed date to release the much awaited expansion which is why the company has not announced any date during the time the screenshots were released.
Based on the Witcher.com, "Blood and Wine is a 20-hour tale that will introduce the all-new in-game region of Toussaint, will take Geralt to a land untainted by war, where an atmosphere of carefree indulgence and knightly ritual masks an ancient, bloody secret."
Moreover, CD Projekt RED Game Director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz describes the new lands as "a massive new land to explore, visually unlike anything you saw in Wild Hunt or Hearts of Stone, and it too is brimming with stories we want you to discover."
Several sites, such as Yibada, have reported that patch 1.12 deployment has been pushed to sometime after New Year's Day. Fans have already posted questions on the Twitter account of "The Witcher 3" Community Lead & Website Coordinator Marcin Momot. At this point there are no updates yet about the patch which will bring bug fixes and game improvements.
"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
