Sorry folks, according to actor Jamie Dornan, you shouldn't count on seeing "Fifty Shades of Grey" star in the buff during the highly-anticipated film. The actor revealed that while the film does have a sexually-charged plot, there are many parts of his body that will be left to the imagination.
During an interview with The Observer, the married actor confirmed that there will be no full-frontal shots of Christian Grey in the film.
"You want to appeal to as wide an audience as possible without grossing them out," said the actor via Daily Mail. "You don't want to make something gratuitous and ugly and graphic."
"There were contracts in place that said that viewers wouldn't be seeing my, um..." he said at a loss for the right term, which was happily offered by an interviewer: "Todger."
"Yeah, my todger," said the 32-year-old.
He goes onto explain the vision and approach of film director Sam Taylor-Johnson: "Sam is a very bright woman, so there might be some suggestive elements to it, but I haven't seen it at this stage, so it is hard for me to say."
In a separate interview, the Northern Irish actor spoke to Jian Ghomeshi about the BDSM-themed book adaptation will not feature sexual violence against women.
"It's very hard to argue that when it is all consensual," said Dornan. "Half the book is about making contracts. Permission and agreement that this be done."
"There's no rape, no forced sexual situations," confirmed the popular actor.
"Fifty Shades of Grey'" is the big screen adaptation of EL James' erotic trilogy that follows the blossoming romance of billionaire Christian Grey and college student Anastasia Steele, played by Dakota Johnson.
Dornan and Johnson described filming the sex scenes previously as "sexual acrobatics" when they spoke to "Today" via The Hollywood Reporter in July. The film stars tells audiences that the film is done in a tasteful and interesting way.
"What I've seen hasn't been particularly watered down, so, um, yeah, I thought it was interesting," said the actress. "So that's all I'll say about that."
Dornan then adds that he's excited for people to see the final product and adds: "I think people are going to be really, really pleasantly surprised with what we've done."
Speaking on the experience of actually filming the movie's sex scenes: "The reality of it is like, a burly man you don't know very well three feet from your face [filming you], which isn't how you usually have sex. Me, anyway."
To which Johnson replied to with "I do" and laughed.
