The full-length trailer for "Furious 7," the newest installment in the popular action franchise has been released and film star Vin Diesel was full of praises of the teaser and film.
On Saturday, Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster and other film stars reunited at Universal Studios in Hollywood to debut the film's official trailer, reported E! News.
"To be honest, I thought it was the best trailer I'd ever seen," described Vin of the trailer and movie with Rodriguez calling the same a "cargasm."
The film was in production when actor Paul Walker died unexpectedly in a car crash in November 2013. During the time of the actor's death, only half of Walker's scenes had been short
In order to finish the film, Walker's brothers acted as the fallen star's body doubles and visual effects were used to create a CGI replica of the actor in order to finish the film.
According to CNN, the film follows the events of "Fast & Furious 6" when Dominic Toretto (Diesel) has to deal with Ian Shaw (Jason Statham) who is seeking revenge following the death of his brother.
The film's official synopsis, per Fashion & Style is as follows:
After defeating Owen Shaw and his crew, Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) and the rest of the crew are able to return to the United States and live the normal life again as they had wanted, but Owen's older brother, Ian Shaw (Jason Statham), is after Dominic, seeking revenge for the death of his brother, putting the entire crew in danger once more. After learning of Han's death, the crew sets out to find the man who killed one of their own, before he finds them first.
"Furious 7' director James Wan and movie writers have confirmed that O'Conner's character will have a happy ending but others sources indicate otherwise. It is being reported that O'Conner may be killed off "in order for the rest of the plot to make sense without his presence," added Fashion & Style.
"We lost a special person, a special angel," said Diesel during the trailer launch event.
His untimely death, which occurred half way through filming, caused Universal to postpone the original release date of July 11, 2014. The script has since been reworked by writer Chris Morgan to provide a suitable send-off for Walker's character, Brian O'Conner.
Walker died at the age of 40 and is survived by a daughter.
The movie was originally set for release July 11, 2014 but with the untimely death of Walker, the date was pushed back to give time for the script to be reworked by writer Chris Morgan.
The movie will appear in theaters April 3, 2015. See the film's spectacular yet emotional trailer below.
