Will.i.am made the headlines after announcing that he'd almost quit show business. As per Mirror, the singer songwriter almost hit the sack after finding it hard to trust people, most especially in the industry.
During one of his interview, "The Voice" judge stated that, "When you're on TV and everyone's around you, how do you keep it real? I'm used to being let down. It's tough. There are times when I've thought I can't go on in this business."
Will.i.am knew for a fact that show business isn't a long time career plan as some stars would eventually fade, he does however have a backup plan as he wants to open up his own electronic store. He may have wanted to open up his own business, but most of his colleagues would oppose to the fact stating that "pop stars" don't go into that career choice.
"I want to open a consumer electronics store but people keep telling me pop stars don't do that. I just get battered and I bend and then when the s*** is over I go back to being upright again."
Late last year, Will.i.am also made the headlines as Daily Mail reported that the singer would eventually leave The Voice after four years of being a coach. As per the new website, Will is disappointed with the fact that most contestants leaving the show wasn't successful after joining The Voice.
A source stated that:
"Will has been in discussions with producers but decided he doesn't want to return this year. He's disappointed Rita Ora left and is frustrated the show has failed to produce an international star. As a result Will has told BBC bosses he thinks he's achieved everything he achieve on the show."
In regards to his exit, it was reported that the show's producer, James Ingham offered him a bigger pay just for him not to leave the show.
