Posted in Curbed Los Angeles, the house was used as the Pasadena Showcase House of Design both in 1993 and in 2015. It was commissioned by Milwaukee businessman John V. Eliot, and was designed by French architect Ferdinand Parmentier.
This gorgeous house rests in 9,422 square feet and it also has an additional 2,600 square feet for the foot carriage house that was used as a residence for the chauffeur and coachman of the former occupants. This can be turned into a guest house.
Aside from the vintage design of the house, it also allows you to be close to nature because you will be surrounded by mature trees that grow around the perimeter. The garden is also very romantic and picturesque with the wisteria arbor. The estate also includes its own Koi pond and pool.

According to the listing page, the interior design contains a lot of Craftsman elements. The windows alone have horizontal bands. The beams and moldings are made from fine Honduran mahogany wood.
The fireplace is also stunning with a green Greuby tile decoration, located at the grand salon which has a ceiling of intricately carved plaster. The kitchen has an island counter made with Grigio marble.
