John Stamos Reveals Mary-Kate, Ashley Olsen Turned Down Netflix's 'Fuller House'; Says Twins Don't Consider Themselves Actresses

So it has been said.

The Olsen twins were expected to return onscreen for the "Fuller House" but it is not going to happen.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have been busy amassing their billion dollar empire when they were younger and now continuing it by running their business but it seems that they no longer have much interest in acting. Way back in February last year, Stamos reached out to the twins but his effort proved futile.

Entertainment Weekly reports that according to John Stamos, in his interview with The Howard Stern Show, the twins no longer consider themselves actresses.

Stamos admitted, "I think there was some confusion. They said first I didn't ask them. And I didn't personally, but I was told they were asked. So I had a knee-jerk reaction and said, 'Bulls--t, I did ask them.' And they got upset, so I did call and talked to Mary-Kate and explained what the show is going to be and told them I'd love for them to be on there and they decided not to, which I respect."

It has been a while since fans and followers have seen either twin onscreen. Mary Kate was last seen in "Beastly" way back in 2011 while Ashley had a role in "I'm Still Here" in 2010, albeit uncredited.

The twins' older sister, Elizabeth, however, is another story, as she landed the role of the role of Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Entertainment Weekly continues.

Meanwhile, E! Online revealed that when the twins said no, an idea to contact Elizabeth came to mind. It would have been good, right?

During RadioAndy talk show on SiriusXM, Stamos told Andy Cohen, "We actually went to-I don't think this has been talked about...I didn't do it, I think Jeff Franklin did-I said, 'Call the sister [Elizabeth Olsen]. Ask her'...We talked to her agent and her agent was like, 'Come on she's not going to do that,' but we did call her agent."

"Fuller House" begins streaming, Friday, Feb. 26 on Netflix.
