“Hit Me Baby One More Time!” Well, she was not really hit. Britney Spears just got stuck on a tree in her Las Vegas residency show.
Originally reported by TMZ, the pop star was singing a slow version of her hit song “Toxic” when she got stuck on the giant tree. She was supposed to fly into the crowd using a harness but the contraption failed.
TMZ released the video that left her stranded on the giant tree. A maintenance man rushed to the singer to help her be released and took the less exciting way to go down the stairs to do her number.
This was not the first mishap that the pop star experienced on her live show. She also experienced a wardrobe malfunction and a painful stage fall while performing. I guess you can expect anything in a live show, but Spears, being the professional that she is, continued the show as if nothing happened. You go Britney.
A clumsy Spears also posted on Instagram that she slammed into a pole on New Year's Eve, which caused a bruise on her forehead. She captioned the pic, “Good morning 2016! Don't mind the little bruise on my forehead... Ran into a pole." As clumsy as she is, she’s still one of the greatest pop stars ever.
Spears’ “Piece of Me” residency at the AXIS auditorium at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas started way back in December 2013, and on Sep. 9, 2015, she confirmed that her contract with Planet Hollywood got extended up to 2017.
The residency earned Spears almost a massive $68 million as of November. Clearly, she shows no sign of slowing down. According to Billboard, Spears is also working on her ninth studio album after she tweeted a photo of her on the studio with songwriters Justin Tranter and Julia Michaels.
