Rumors claim that a major character will say goodbye when "Empire" season 2 returns after the winter break in March.
Christian Post reported that EconoTimes speculated that a major character's death is happening in the return episode of the show. In the mid-season finale, it was discovered that Lucious Lyon's (Terrence Howard) son Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) betrayed his family by taking the side of the enemy and voting for Lucious to be ousted from his position as the CEO of Empire Entertainment. Although it was not revealed who this enemy is, fans are eagerly waiting what will happen next to the family.
The chaos in the company makes one person happy as Camila (Naomi Campbell) planned this all along. The site even speculated that was Camila who influenced Hakeem to vote to get Lucious out of the company making him the new head of the family business. According to Christian Today, in the return episode of the show, Hakeem will face the consequences of his betrayal.
In the new promo video for "Empire" season 2 episode 11, Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) can be seen talking to her youngest son, asking him why he betrayed his family. Meanwhile, his older brother Jamal (Jussie Smollett) shows his disappointment with him and he warns him that this decision will bring out the worst in him.
On the other hand, it seems like Camila is not yet done in causing more trouble to the family as in one scene of the video she can be seen talking to someone telling this person to "Kill him." Although it wasn't revealed who is Camila trying to get killed, fans are speculating that it could be Lucious as he tries to gain his company back with the help of an unknown friend.
"Empire" season 2 episode 11 will air on March 30 on FOX.
